First Lady Oluremi Tinubu emphasized the proactive role of Nigerians in addressing societal challenges during a meeting with the National Executive of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) at her office in the State House, Abuja. She expressed the sentiment that waiting for the government to do everything is not practical and encouraged individuals to extend a helping hand to those around them.
Mrs. Tinubu underscored the importance of guiding the youth toward positive values and morals and advocated for collective efforts to shield them from the negative influences of social media. She emphasized her commitment to fostering these principles.

In response, Lau, representing the NCWS, affirmed their partnership with the first lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative pet project.
In another development, former First Lady Patience Jonathan paid a visit to Mrs. Tinubu and offered her support in achieving the goals of assisting the less privileged in society. Mrs. Jonathan stressed the significance of unity and collaboration in moving the nation forward, expressing her willingness to work hand in hand with Mrs. Tinubu for the betterment of the country. She conveyed her availability at all times to contribute to the nation’s progress and success.
