The intimate church ceremony was attended by the star’s family, all clad in gold attire, where they collectively confronted their sorrow during the wake held on October 12, 2023. Even Wizkid’s eldest son, Boluwatife, couldn’t contain his grief, breaking down over the loss of his grandmother.
In a touching moment captured on social media, Wizkid, seated in the front row, rose from his seat to console Boluwatife, who was visibly moved to tears. The singer himself was seen shedding tears multiple times, clearly shattered by the profound loss, which he described as the most profound pain he had ever experienced.
