The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced on Tuesday morning that it ceased using the print-out presented by Anambra candidate Mmesoma Ejikeme as her valid result for the 2021 UTME.
The board reiterated its stance that the UTME result displayed by “Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma” is clearly forged.
According to a statement released by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board clarified that Mmesoma was the only candidate who presented an “outdated” notification slip among all the participants of the 2023 UTME.
Consequently, JAMB assures the Nigerian public that its system remained untouched and uncompromised, as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip belonging to “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,” who scored 138 in the 2021 UTME.
The board highlights that the candidate unintentionally revealed the true owner of the result she paraded when she mentioned that the QR code on the result slip indicated the actual owner before distorting the truth.

To confirm the board’s unequivocal position on this obvious falsehood, the general public is encouraged to scan the QR code on the result slip to view its authentic owner before it was tampered with. It is important to note that the QR code contains the UTME result of each candidate, and the information displayed on the result sheet is derived from this QR code.
Furthermore, it should be noted that JAMB stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME due to candidates falsifying them. Instead, since 2022, the board has been providing actual UTME RESULT Slips (not notification of results) that include the candidate’s photograph.
The public is also invited to consider that out of all the candidates who took the 2023 UTME, only Ms. Ejikeme Mmesoma is presenting the outdated “Notification of Result.”
As a consequence of Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s significant violation, the Board’s management has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and banned her from taking the Board’s examinations for the next three years, following the established procedures.
🤦🏽♂️
I’m sure this would definitely drag into a court case.
