There Is A Need For Regulations To Control Social Media Pranksters, Says Victor Osuagwu
Victor Osuagwu, an actor, has emphasized the necessity of regulating content creators who engage in pranks on social media.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, he expressed his concerns, stating, “A significant challenge in our region is the lack of proper procedures. If there were established guidelines, we wouldn’t witness these kinds of extreme pranks.
Due to economic conditions, more individuals are participating in pranks on social media for monetary gains, often neglecting the potential consequences. With a regulatory body overseeing their activities, such incidents could be prevented.”
Osuagwu further highlighted the potential harm caused by such pranks, explaining, “In some cases, these skit makers subject elderly individuals to pranks, resulting in heart attacks due to heightened stress.”
