Tems Bag Grammy Nominations Become The First Female Nigerian Artiste To Be Nominated

Tems has made history as the first female Nigerian artist to be nominated for not one, but two Grammy Awards. The full list of nominees for the 65th edition of the prestigious awards was released ahead of the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on February 5th, 2023. Tems received nominations in the ‘Best Rap Song’ and ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ categories for her contribution to the hit collaboration with Future and Drake titled ‘Wait For U.’

The singer’s vocals entrapped many with the release of the song and she is now being recognized by one of music’s most prestigious awards ceremonies. In addition to her rap song nods, Tems was also nominated for Album Of The Year as a featured artist on Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ album, taking her total Grammy Awards nominations up to three.
