Six Friends Died After Taking Alcohol In Ogun, Police In Ogun Confirmed The Development To Newsmen On Saturday
A tragic incident occurred in the Ogbogbo area of Ijebu North-East Local Government Area in Ogun State, where six friends lost their lives after consuming alcohol at a drinking joint. The unfortunate event took place on Tuesday when a group of seven friends gathered for a good time.
Before the incident, there was a serious altercation between the deceased and the suspect at the drinking joint. However, they later resolved their differences, and the suspect offered a bottle of drink as a gesture of reconciliation.
Shockingly, everyone who consumed the drink, except the person who served it, tragically died.
After some time, news spread that two of them had died, and four others were hospitalized. Sadly, the four hospitalized individuals also passed away the following day. In the wake of the incident, the suspect fled the area.
The local authorities confirmed the incident, but the families of the victims decided not to press charges and instead opted to bury their loved ones. The tragedy has left the community in mourning.
