Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended an invitation to the Department of Security Services (DSS) to participate in the investigation of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
This development was communicated through a statement issued by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, on Tuesday.
Mohbad, a former artist under Naira Marley’s Marlian Records label, tragically passed away last Tuesday at the age of 27.
The state government also expressed its condolences to the family and fans of the former Marlian Records artist, stating, “We deeply empathize with the pain of losing such a talented and promising young man who had made a name for himself in a highly competitive industry. May the Almighty grant his soul rest and provide comfort to his grieving family and fans,” as mentioned in the statement.
In addition to the special police investigative team already working on the case in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reached out to the DSS, inviting their involvement in the investigation. This collaborative effort aims to utilize inter-agency cooperation and state-of-the-art technology to uncover the truth surrounding Mohbad’s passing.
