Renowned Nollywood actor Yemi Adeyemi, famously known as Suara, has passed away, as announced by his family on Monday. He died on Sunday, and the family statement, signed by his son Adedotun Adeyemi, conveyed their deep sadness over his passing. They requested privacy during this grieving period and assured that further details about the burial would be shared in due time.
Mufu Onifade, an art and culture administrator, expressed his shock and sadness at the news in a Facebook post. He described Yemi Adeyemi as a great actor, producer, and notable Ifa priest who had contributed to numerous television and stage productions. One of his notable roles included performing in ‘Yemoja,’ a play written by Prof. Ahmed Yerima and staged in Nigeria and Mexico by the National Troupe of Nigeria. Onifade offered his condolences and wished for the late Thespian’s soul to find peace in the Supreme Being.
