The Nigeria Police Force has announced its intention to conduct a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the passing of the late music sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
This up-and-coming singer’s death occurred under somewhat mysterious circumstances at a Lagos hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and he has since been laid to rest in the Ikorodu region of the state.
In the wake of his untimely demise, numerous conspiracy theories have surfaced, particularly on social media, suggesting a possible altercation between the deceased and his former record label, Marlian Records, which is owned by the controversial singer Naira Marley.
Amidst the mounting calls for an inquiry into the circumstances of Mohbad’s passing, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made an official statement on Thursday, September 14, 2023, just two days following the aspiring music talent’s demise. In the statement, he affirmed the police force’s unwavering commitment to a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who recently passed away. We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise,” Olumuyiwa said.
