The Lagos State Police Command has provided an update regarding the ongoing autopsy of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, stated that the autopsy was conducted by highly skilled forensic pathologists in the country. He further mentioned that family members of the deceased singer were present during the autopsy.
In a post on his X account, Hundeyin emphasized the need for Nigerians to remain patient while awaiting the results of the autopsy. He reassured the public that there were no unethical practices involved in the process.
Hundeyin’s statement read, “As assured by the CP, the autopsy was promptly carried out by some of the best forensic pathologists in the country, in the presence of family members. While we await the result, we urge everyone to remain calm and confident in the process. There is absolutely no underhand dealing, as feared by some concerned persons. In the meantime, other aspects of the investigation are progressing well.”
It should be recalled that Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State. His death has generated significant public interest, with allegations and speculations surrounding the circumstances of his demise, including accusations against his former boss, Naira Marley, and music promoter, Sam Larry, though both men have denied any involvement in his death.
