MTV Base, a prominent British music channel, has taken the step to prohibit Marlian music following the untimely death of the late singer, Mohbad.
This decision follows a series of controversies surrounding Mohbad’s demise and its potential links to Marlian music’s leader, Naira Marley.
Since Mohbad’s passing, video evidence has surfaced, suggesting that Naira Marley and his associates may have been involved in ongoing harassment of the late singer.
Reports from Within Nigeria indicate that Mohbad passed away under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
In response to these video findings and speculations, several national radio stations have enforced a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) ban on music from the Marlian Records Label.
Ehizojie Okoeguale, a staff member of the MTV music channel and well-known TV host, also known as DadaBoy Ehiz, shared this news on Wednesday. His announcement adds MTV Base to the growing list of music outlets that have chosen to prohibit Marlian music.
In a post on his platform, Okoeguale wrote: “MTVbase has removed all Marlian content. Kudos to them.”
