I Apologize, Please Find It in Your Heart to Forgive Me – Basketmouth Pleads With AY

Recall the longstanding public feud between AY and Basketmouth.

In a 2021 interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Basketmouth revealed the fallout was due to AY’s breach of loyalty. He emphasized that they were never genuine friends.

AY, addressing the issue in a May 2023 interview with Chude Jideonwo, connected the discord to a business deal gone wrong in 2006.

Recently, Basketmouth has extended a heartfelt apology to AY and others he may have offended. He expressed genuine remorse, seeking forgiveness from everyone he had wronged.

He stated, “To those in the industry and beyond whom I have hurt, I sincerely apologize. I ask for your forgiveness from the depths of my heart. To those who accused me of actions affecting their careers, I won’t confirm or deny, but God knows the truth. Regardless, please forgive me.

“As for my friend AY, I don’t know if my apology holds weight anymore, but if it does, please forgive me for any past words or actions that may have hurt you. I want you to understand that I have also forgiven you for any wrongdoings, intentional or unintentional. Let’s move forward in peace and unity.”
