In a heart-wrenching disclosure, Wunmi, the partner of the late Nigerian artiste Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, has opened up about the singer’s relentless struggles that continued until his untimely demise.
Wunmi, who goes by the handle @c33why on Instagram, shared a poignant picture of their five-month-old baby, Liam, and shed light on the profound challenges MohBad faced throughout his life. She revealed that the singer was never truly happy and had to contend with an ongoing battle that plagued him.
According to Wunmi, MohBad was unfairly labeled as a “junkie” and faced stigmatization from the public, which added to his already substantial burdens. She explained that he lived with constant fears and encountered numerous conflicts wherever he went. The birth of their child only intensified his worries, as he took on the responsibilities of being a family man.
In a heartfelt series of posts on her Instagram story, Wunmi expressed her pain and sorrow, stating, “This Nigga struggled till death, too many pains, threatening (sic). He had always lived with fears, continuous fights everywhere he goes too, he has never been happy for a whole day… he was called a junkie, a mad person, mental issue so the public would have another view about him… he’s dead at least you all won, take your trophy.”
She continued, “Ya’ll made a widow at 24 years Olorun idajo re daaa (sic),” signifying her deep grief and sense of loss.
Wunmi further revealed that even after seeing their baby, MohBad remained deeply concerned for their safety. He urged her to prioritize their child’s well-being and insisted that she leave for their sake, expressing his determination to face his challenges head-on. She mournfully concluded, “Ilerioluwa rest in peace… You really need that peace.”
