The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Fuanter, has replaced Senator Iyiola Omisore as the National Secretary of the party. This change was announced by Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Acting National Chairman of the APC, after a meeting of the National Working Committee. The meeting also resulted in the postponement of the planned National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings scheduled for July 18 and 19.
According to Senator Kyari, both Senator Omisore and the former National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, are no longer part of the APC leadership. He stated that he, as the Deputy National Chairman (North), would assume the role of Acting National Chairman, while Festus Fuanter would serve as the Acting National Secretary.

The Acting National Chairman also emphasized that the present NWC would adhere to the provisions of the party’s constitution in carrying out their responsibilities.
As a result of these developments, the planned National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings have been temporarily postponed. The party will communicate a new date for these meetings in the near future.
