Lyta confirmed his exit from YBNL on Naijaloaded TV, stating that although he was paid between 50,000 and 80,000 for shows, he never had a written contract with the label.
Olamide issued a statement to Guardian Life in response, saying that YBNL has a promotion calendar which Lyta refused to follow. Recently Lyta narrated another side of the story that left the general public dumbfounded.
He said,
First I didn’t have a written contract with Olamide. Olamide dissociating with me happened when my dad requested for olamide’s number says he want to speak with him and when I reached out to Olamide he said I should find out my self what he want to say, so I told my dad what his reply was and he said alright just tell him that someone want to sponsor your music career.
As I messaged OLAMIDE regarding what my dad said, his reply was “if that’s the best for you I wish you good luck” and I was confused about his reply. I didn’t know what to say so I said thank you sir.
As time goes on fans started blasting me saying I no longer do music, all I do is change hairstyles. At this moment I don’t know what to do, am just depressed.
