The Federal Executive Council has approved the installation of baggage scanners at all railway stations in Nigeria at a cost of N495 million. This announcement was made by the Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adegoroye after the council meeting presided over by Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Railway Stations

The devices are aimed at advancing the security of lives and property in the country’s railway facilities and continuing the railway revolution in the sector. In addition, the FEC has given approval for the maintenance of the pavement of the third mainland bridge at a cost of N6.278 billion naira, to be completed within 24 months.
This move is a further indication of the government’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure across the country. Railway Stations
