Ex-Boko Haram Terrorists Protest Over Non-Payment Of Allowance

A group of former Boko Haram insurgents staged a demonstration in Borno state, expressing their frustration over the delay in receiving their allowances.

These ex-militants, who are currently situated at the Hajj Camp in Borno after surrendering to the Nigerian government, created a traffic jam by obstructing the Bulumkutu-Maiduguri highway during their protest on Friday, August 18.

In their grievances, they pointed fingers at the federal government, alleging that the promised N30,000 allowance has not been disbursed as assured.
