In the latest developments surrounding the tragic demise of Afrobeats sensation Mohbad, the Nigerian Police have revealed compelling evidence implicating associates Naira Marley and Sam Larry in a series of grave offenses, including cyberbullying, physical abuse, threats to life, and assault against the late artist. Born Ilerioluwa Aloba, Mohbad passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12, sparking a wave of public outrage and speculation.

Shortly after Mohbad’s untimely death, videos depicting his alleged bullying and assault began circulating online, with fingers pointed directly at Naira Marley and Sam Larry for their alleged involvement. Lagos State Police Commissioner, CP Idowu Owohunwa, addressed the media on Friday, October 6, 2023, confirming the existence of electronic and credible witness evidence linking Naira Marley and Sam Larry to cyberbullying, threats to life, assault causing harm, and conduct likely to incite a breach of peace against Mohbad during his lifetime. While both Naira Marley and Sam Larry remain in police custody, CP Owohunwa identified an auxiliary nurse, Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the primary suspect in Mohbad’s death. According to the police investigation, Ms. Ogedengbe administered a potent combination of Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone—an antibiotic—to Mohbad at his residence on September 12.
