Coroner's Inquest Into Mohbad's Death Begins, Witness Testimonies Scheduled

The investigation into the death of singer Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, commenced on Friday with a coroner’s inquest at the Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos. The hearing, led by the coroner, is scheduled to resume on October 13, 2023, when witnesses will testify.

Funmi Falana, representing Mohbad’s family, held closed-door discussions with other lawyers to plan the procedures for the evidence hearing. Falana assured reporters that justice would prevail, expressing determination to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death.

This development followed the recent arrest of show promoter Sam Larry in connection with the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise. The musicians Naira Marley and Sam Larry have been under intense public scrutiny in relation to the singer’s passing.
