On the day Phyna was declared the winner of BBNaija season 7, it marked the last time her parents saw her. She vanished without a trace immediately after receiving the prize money, never returning home to her family. For an entire year, she remained out of touch, leaving her parents in a state of worry and confusion.
Adding to their distress, Phyna refused to answer her parents’ calls or reach out to them, even though she frequently appeared on social media flaunting her newfound wealth and luxurious lifestyle. He shared that Phyna had not only abandoned her family but also asked him to quit his job as a hearse driver, falsely promising to improve their lives. Mr. Otabor sold his cars, believing his daughter’s promise of a better life. However, this decision only led to his financial struggles and forced him to halt his business. Despite attempts to contact Phyna, she remained unresponsive, leaving her father feeling abandoned and desperate for help.
