Atiku Predicts The PDP Will Make A Comeback To Provide An Accountable Administration

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has expressed his belief that the PDP will return to power to deliver a responsible government to Nigeria.

In a statement released by his media office on the occasion, Atiku extended congratulations to the primary opposition party for reaching the significant milestone of 25 years and positively influencing Nigeria’s socio-economic and political progress.

He was quoted as emphasizing that “the PDP is the originator of our modern democracy, and thus, the party is committed to not only ensuring the survival of democracy in Nigeria but also ensuring that the country prospers through it.”

Atiku, acknowledging his role as one of the party’s founding fathers, took pride in nurturing the PDP from its inception into a deliberate force for socio-political and economic advancement in Nigeria. During the 16 years when the PDP held leadership positions in the country, he noted that the party provided quality governance through various administrations. The achievements made during those 16 years, according to him, continue to serve as a benchmark for positive growth in Nigeria’s economy and other vital aspects of national life.

He also highlighted the PDP’s pivotal role in dismantling military rule in Nigeria. Given the unique challenges facing the country both domestically and in the broader African context, Atiku believes that the PDP should rise once more to address the economic hardships and other structural deficiencies that have adversely affected the Nigerian people over the past nearly eight and a half years.

Atiku expressed unwavering confidence that the PDP will stage a comeback to deliver a responsive government to the people of Nigeria.
